New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Director of communications, Richard Ahiagbah has stated emphatically that the ruling NPP government is ready for former President John Mahama’s second coming.
According to him, Ghana had severe problems under the Mahama government and that, he (Mahama) will bring more hardship to Ghanaians if given a second chance.
He, therefore, added that the NPP has performed well under Akufo Addo and is prepared to face John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in the general elections of 2024.
“We are ready for him, we are interested in how we can build the economy. What we are interested in is whether he has the solution because we saw him vanquished gains that he got, we saw him collapse our economy, we saw him collapse our banking sector, we saw him cause Ghanaians to live in absolute difficulties in this country without electricity” Mr. Ahiagbah said at a press conference on Wednesday, February 22 to react to Mr. Mahama’s decision to pick the forms to contest for the NDC flagbearer position of the party.
On Wednesday, Professor Joshua Alabi, a former rector of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), selected the nomination forms on Mr. Mahama’s behalf.
We’re here to take up the paperwork for his HE John Dramani Mahama, he remarked. As you are aware, the country is going through a very trying moment right now. The economy is in shambles, people are struggling, and the bottom line is that people are pleading for the NDC to return.
