Education minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has reiterated his commitment to ensuring that tertiary institutions in the country align the courses they offer to meet the critical needs of the job market.
According to him, he is currently engaging the universities on issues that need to change for the nation’s good and not just training graduates for non-existing jobs but rather focusing on training graduates who can help support the country’s socio-economic development.
The minister made the comments on Saturday, 21st January 2023 when he joined the Vice Chancellor, staff, and management of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho for their 7th Graduation Ceremony.
The minister further encouraged management to continue to partner government to transform this country through education.
Also in attendance were the Agbogbomefia of Asogli state, Togbe Afede XIV, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Food and Drug Authority, Mrs. Delese Mimi Darko, and a host of other dignitaries who graced the occasion.
