The Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Ras Mubarak, has revealed that the formal President John Dramani Mahama created 600,000 jobs for Ghanaians during his administration.
According to him, John Mahama Dramani administration has tackled unemployment by creating over 600,000 jobs for Ghanaians.
Ras Mubarak added that Mahama administration has introduced social intervention programmes that provided youth employment and their achievement is better than the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
According to Ras Mubarak, the initiative saw the disbursement of GHS 150 million to 655 businesses to train almost 100,000 people in a vocational and technical trade.
He said despite the harsh economy, the Mahama government has created over 600,000 jobs across the country under many programmes.
In an interview with Citi TV, Ras Mubarak said also mentioned another programme spearheaded by the Free Zones Board that supported 69 companies that created about 16, 000 jobs.
He stated that the Skills Development Fund was implemented under the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) under its administration.
