The family of the late president of Ghana, Prof Evans Atta Mills, in a statement issued are alerting Ghanaians of their loss in interest of investigating the death of their son.
The signed statement was by the Head of the family, Abusua Panyin Nkuma who doubles as the Kyeraba Abusua Panyin of Kotokuraba in Cape Coast, spokesperson for the family, Ato Brew Jr aka Ato Kwamena Gyasi and Hon Samuel Atta Mills, Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Constituency.
According to the release, the family is of the view that any investigation launched based on unconfirmed allegations will neither serve the interest of the Family nor of the Ghanaian public at large.
“We have always insisted on Ghanaians knowing the cause and circumstances of our brother’s demise. This we eagerly believe can only be possible through an open, objective, thorough investigation that is not only devoid of political grandstanding.” The family stated.
