A member of the Council of State under President Nana Akufo-Addo administration, Honourable Enock Teye Mensah has said he and the two others who were named as “Wise men” under Mr. John Mahama’s administration never had the chance to meet Mahama from 2012 to 2016.
According to him, they were given an office at the Flagstaff House for a special assignment from former President Mahama’s administration but they were not given additional salary or allowance, apart from Member of Parliament salary.
Speaking with Accra base Citi Tv, Honourable Teye Mensah said he, Cletus Avoka, and Alban Bagbin who were the wise men tried to get the former President to face to face but they were not given the chance.
Former Lands Minister Cletus Avoka was tasked with seeing to the construction of 200 senior high schools, 10 teacher training colleges, and one university for the Eastern Region.
The former MP for Nadowli Kaleo, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin was in charge of some health projects, and former employment minister E.T Mensah, who was tasked with overseeing the building of an international airport, was the remaining task force members.
