Nana Otuo Siribour II, Juabenhene, and a member of the 8th Council of State have pledged the Council’s readiness to give President Akufo-Addo and his administration fair and sincere advice at all times.
According to him, the Council observed good reports and dialogue between the President, who was determined to respect the Council and its advice at all times.
Speaking on behalf of the 31 members of the 8th Council of State in the Jubilee House during the swearing-in ceremony, Nana Otuo Siribour II, who has been reappointed together with others to the Council for another four years commanded President Akufo-Addo administration for the Trust imposed on them to serve again and added that the old members will share their experiences with the new members to contribute meaningfully.
He also commended the regional representatives for their election especially those who were given another chance to serve and said the 8th Council will be stronger in serving with humility, professionalism, patriotism, and Loyalty.
Out of 31 Members of the Council of State Elected and appointed, only four are women.
They are the Western Regional representative on the Council of State, Eunice Jacqueline Buah, who won her bid to be retained in the role, and presidential appointees, Georgina Theodora Wood, a former Chief Justice, Dr. Margaret Amoakohene, and Mrs. Georgina Kusi.
