The PRO for Public Utility Regulatory Commission, Bawah Munkaila has assured to compensate Ghanaians who will suffer losses in this power outage period.
According to the Public Relations Officer, in an interview with Abena Opokua Ahwenee on Dadi FM, 101.1, consumers must be compensated when they suffer losses from power fluctuations or outages.
He urged victims of power fluctuations to report to the Utility Service Provider and show evidence to buttress the claim that their gadgets and electrical were damaged due to the outage.
“If any of your gadgets get spoilt take it to the ECG office as evidence and provide the time and the cause for it then wait for their feedback “, he directed.
He added that, if a victim receives no positive feedback from the ECG, they should forward their concerns to the PURC for further investigation.
“After reporting to the ECG if they don’t take up the issue, report to us and we will investigate the issue and sanction them to compensate you”, he said.
He added that this is to help the consumers and make up for their losses in this period.
