Hon. Alex Tetteh Djornobuah, Former Second Deputy Majority Whip/MP for Sefwi-Akontombra has expressed his view on the Feed-Ghana program brought by the government in power.
Speaking on Bryt Adekye Mu Nsem with Kwahu Dehyee on Monday April 14, the former MP expressed his thought on the program concerning some views about the policy, comparing it to the Planting for Food and Jobs policy by the eartshwile NPP government.
According to Hon. Alex Tetteh Djornobuah, Ghanaians should pray for the policy to be sustained.
He made reference in the Bible (Jeremiah 29:7) which says, “we should pray for our country because if the country prosper the people will also prosper”.
He added that “when you go to market, things are so expensive whilst the NDC promised Ghanaians that foodstuff will remain stable forever in their term of office, they even promise to reduce cement to 30gh but today cement is even 140gh as we speak now”.
Hon. Alex said that it is the same NDC who stood in parliament to insult the Minister for Agriculture in the days of the NPP in 2017 when after launched their Program ( planting for food and jobs), accusing the then government that they just want the money for themselves.
“So right now does it mean that the NDC also want the money for themselves as they claim the previous government did” the former lawmaker quizzed.
According to him, the NPP and Ghanaians pray pray that the Feed Ghana Program succeed in order to fulfill the promises the NDC made to Ghanaians that foodstuff is going to remain stable in their days.
He said that increments in petrol, light and water bills has become extremely expensive for Ghanaians to bear in just four month, as majority of Ghanaians have regretted voting for the NDC.
He again pointed out that it is not only NDC members that will benefit from the FeedGhana program but the country as a whole, and therefore, will never wish them doom.
