Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, says the minority will not accept any move by the government to make things worse for Ghanaians by introducing additional taxes.
He explained that Ghanaians are already experiencing financial difficulty, the minority in caucus will not support any additional tax measures.
“We are going to oppose any attempt to further impoverish the Ghanaian people to further impose taxes that will only compound the current hardship that the Ghanaian people are going through. I can confirm to you that our side, the NDC caucus, is not going to support any additional tax. No tax measure will receive our endorsement” Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa disclosed this in an interview.
Touching on the 2023 SONA, he described the president’s address as uninspiring and a “very depressing address”.
Hon. Okudzeto added that Akufo-Addo refused to accept responsibility since he continues to attribute the nation’s current crisis to the Russia-Ukraine war.
