The Flagbearer of the largest opposition party -NDC John Dramani Mahama has assured the people of Begoro and its surrounding Communities that a special strategy will be deployed to fight the notorious armed robbers terrorizing residents in the area.
Commuter’s particular traders who ply Dedeso to Abuorso road near Begoro have been battling armed robbery attacks for over a decade now. Many have been shot dead while others sustain injuries in various attacks carried out by the robbery gang. Also, many victims have been robbed of their monies and other valuables.
Addressing supports of the NDC at Dedeso in Fanteakwa North Constituency on Saturday as part of his tour of the Eastern Region, John Dramani Mahama said the next NDC government will ensure that the local Police are resourced to fight the robbers to improve the safety of the people.
He said whenever NDC is in power; armed robbery reduces due to its Commitment to the security of Ghanaians.
Mr. Mahama also told the party faithful that the NDC will provide farmers tractors and farm equipment for hiring to plow their farms at an affordable price and create agro-processing centers to process farm produce to add value to their market price.
