The Paramount Queen-mother of Akwamu Traditional Area, Nana Afrakoma II has said women in Akwamu Traditional area will support the Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang in all her political endeavors.
According to her, they will support her with their prayers and even their witchcraft to succeed
“Women are grateful to you for your courage; we will pray for you and support you with everything including our witchcraft.”
She said women all over Ghana and the world at large are proud to have her rise to such a high political position.
The Paramount Queen-mother was hopeful through Prof Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang Ghana will have the first female President.
She said this when Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang and her entourage paid a courtesy call on her at Akwamufie in the Asuogyaman Constituency of the Eastern Region on Monday.
On her part, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang said she came to pay a courtesy call on the Queen-mother for her blessings as she begins her tour in the Eastern region on her land.
The Vice-Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has begun a five-day campaign tour of the Eastern Region.
She will interact and deliberate on important issues of national concern with traditional authorities, religious leaders, civil society organizations, and citizens from all walks of life.
She will be throwing more light on the party’s ‘People’s Manifesto’ and provide further clarity on the NDC’s plan for nation-building to constituents.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang will tour Asuogyamam, Lower Manya Krobo, Upper Manya Krobo, Yilo Krobo, Okere, Asene-Manso-Akroso, Kade, Akwatia, Lower West Akim, Koforidua, and Nkawkaw. She would also tour Abirem, Atiwa East, Fanteakwa North, Abuakwa North, New Juaben South, New Juaben North, Ayensuano, Upper West Akim, and Nsawam-Adoagyiri.
The Running Mate’s team includes Hon. Alex Segbefia – Former Health Minister and Deputy Campaign Manager for Election 2020, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa – Former Deputy Education Minister, Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto – Deputy Women’s Organizer, Chief Biney – Deputy National Organizer, Ms. Emelia Arthur – A former Deputy Western Regional Minister, Hon Abu Kasangbata – A Former Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, Musah Abdulai, Former MCE for Bawku and Mrs. Mawuena Trebarh, A Former CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and now Spokesperson and Head of Communications for the Running Mate of the NDC.
