The West Akyem Municipal Heath Directorate in the Eastern Region has said the person who was tested positive recently of COVID-19 in the area has recovered and discharged From Isolation Centre.
A statement from the Municipal Information Officer said all other suspected cases commuted to laboratory have proved negative, meaning; there is no case of COVID -19 in the Municipality as of 27th May 2020.
The statement urged inhabitants in the municipality to continue to adhere to the preventive measures against the pandemic to make the municipality COVID-19 free.
“The West Akim Municipal Health Directorate has chalked the first phase of feat in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.”
“Since then, the management of the municipal assembly under the able leadership of the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive Seth Oduro Boadu and the health directorate had been working tirelessly to ensuring that the patient recovered, and the municipality did not record any more positive cases.”
