The Chief Executive for West Akyem Municipal in the Eastern Region, Honourable Seth Oduro Boadu has Commissioned classroom blocks for two Communities in his Municipality.
Mr. Seth Oduro Boadu commissioned 1 No. 3-Unit Classroom Block with Office, Staff common room, stores, 6-Unit KVIP Toilet facility, and 4-unit Urinal at Otwenkwanta.
The source of funding for the project was from the District Assembly Common Fund and its Responsive Factor Grants (DACF-RFG) and amounted GHC479,999.18.
The classroom block was fully furnished with dual desks for pupils, teacher’s tables, chairs, and metal cabinets for storage.
The Chief Executive also commissioned and handed over 1 No. 2 Unit KG Block with Office, Store, Kitchen, and 4-Unit WC Toilet to the West Akim Education Directorate.
Part of the project were 12 No. Pupils Hexagonal tables, 72 No. chairs, metal cabinets, teacher’s tables, and
chairs.
The project which amounted GHC399,999.05 was funded by the District Assembly Common Fund and its Responsive Factor Grants (DACF-RFG).
The handing over ceremony was graced by management and staff from West Akim Municipal Assembly, representatives from the West Akim Municipal Education Directorate, and opinion leaders from the Zongo community, Asamankese.
