The Headmaster of Bibiani Anglican School in the Bibiani Municipal Assembly in the Western North Region, Ven. Charles Nyame Arthur have appealed to the government, educational stakeholders, and corporate organisations to come to their aid of the school after the fire outbreak in the school for the past one (1) year and this has forced the school to run shift system due to over crowding .
He indicated that, the devastating situation in the school has led them to join some of the primary school classrooms and that is making teaching and learning very cumbersome.
“Since the school faced this unforeseen challenges, the academic experience has been very difficult since many buildings including the headmasters office, teachers staff office and Jhs1 A&B, Jhs2 A&B and Jhs3 A&B which burnt off has not been built so whenever it rains students doesn’t come to school because we can not keep them since primary students are studying”.
In an interview with the reporter, Ven. Charles Nyame Arthur, the Headmaster of the Bibiani Anglican School and also the priest of Bibiani Anglican Church, underscored the urgent need for classroom facilities to accommodate the Junior High School (JHS) pupils to ensure quality education.
Ven. Nyame Arthur said he was happy to announce that the school is one of the oldest schools, highest populated schools in the municipality as well as best school in all the public schools in the entire municipality as well the entire Western North Region when it comes to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
He therefore, called on the Member of Parliament of their area, Hon. Lawyer Alfred Obeng-Boateng, Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Paul Andoh and other benevolent organizations to come to their aid to reconstruct their school building to the future of the pupils.
