The Western North Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Benjamin Armah, on behalf of the Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, minister of education and member of Parliament for Sefwi Akontombra constituency hon. Alex Tetteh has donated 400 bags of cement worth thousands of Ghana cedis to the Sefwi Wiawso paramount chief, Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama II.
Chairman Benjamin Armah in his interview with the media during the donation said, the Vice President Dr Bawumia upon hearing the good work been commenced by the Sefwi Waiwso paramountcy of building an ultramodern palace motivated him to support the project with his quota of 200 bags of cement.
Notwithstanding, chairman Benjamin Armah added that, Hon. Dr Yaw osei Adutwum minister of Education and Akontombra Member of Parliament Hon. Alex Tetteh upon hearing that the vice president was making such donation to the traditional council also supported with 100 bags of cement each totaling 400 bags to facilitate the work.
The Abusuapanin of the Sefwi Wiawso Tradiontional Council, Nana Yaw Agyemang Badu receiving the items from the delegation on behalf of Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama II, emphatically stated that, “blessings are those who haven’t seen but believing, even though the vice president Dr Alhaji Bawumia hasn’t paid a visit to the project site but has supported from good heart”.
He made it clear that the Vice President is a very kindhearted person who thinks about the people of Sefwi and its development as well.
Prior to his remarks after the items was received, Nana Yaw Agyemang Badu hinted, even though the paramount chief was not around but they have accepted the items in good faith and it would be used judiciously while he expressed gratitude to the three dignitaries for donating such items to facilitate the construction of the new Okogyabour palace.
