The Member of Parliament for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Constituency in the Western North Region Lawyer Alfred Obeng Boateng organized the reinvigorated edition of the “APPROCHERS YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT”, which is a refreshed platform to inspire and educate the youth in the Constituency, ensuring they become exemplary citizens in the future through a series of lectures.
Data by the Ghana Statistical Service from the 2021 housing and population census indicates a very youthful population, with over 65% captured between the ages of (0-35 years).
He cautioned the youth to be mindful of their peers and not to allow themselves to be influenced by friends who would make them stray from their goals.
“The devil will definitely trick you, but that is when you will need to put on the full armour of God so that you can withstand temptations,” he said.
He promised to develop the talents of those who were technologically inclined so that they could contribute their quota to the socio-economic development of the country.
The MP used the opportunity to reiterate his achievements in terms of health, education, sports, infrastructure, and youth development through scholarships, Apprenticeships, and job creation, such as the Community Mining Scheme in the constituency employing thousands of youth and other job facilitations across the country.
