Municipal Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) Commander for Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai in the Western North region, ASP Emmanuel Osei has called the public to obey road traffic regulations, signs, and markings on roads because all these are purposely for human safety.
Speaking with the media, he identified that both pedestrians and vehicular lanes have been provided on our roads and therefore drivers are advised to load at designated lorry stations instead of picking passengers along the road.
Mr. Osei further hinted that one should be above 24 years to qualify to drive a commercial vehicle per road safety regulations and reiterated that anyone found culpable will face the law.
He stressed that his outfit in collaboration with other stakeholders has put down measures to ensure the safety of pedestrians all the time and called on the general public to support the course.
ASP Emmanuel Osei added the country can have fewer road crash cases this Yuletide if each and everyone plays its role as far as road safety is concerned.
