Some staff of Stylish Radio 102.1, a locally based Radio Station in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region on Friday 10th November, 2023 left commuters shocked when they were seen weeding around the bushy Bibiani Roundabout.
According the Manager Mr. Kwame Adu-Gyamfi, he called the Municipal Assembly Information Depart lment to find out why the Roundabout has been overgrown and he was informed that the Assembly does not have weeding machine to clear the area and as a result he decided with his staff to volunteer and come and clear the area becauseit it could be a breeding ground for reptiles.
He said keeping our environment clean is a shared responsibility and as professional journalists, we also have a role to play and that is why we volunteered to clear the area.
“In fact, the Roundabout has turned to be an embarrassment to Bibiani town, a mining Municipality,” he asked
Head of DJs, Mr.Johson Arthur popularly known as DJ Samzeto recount what they saw at the area “I don’t even know weather the Bibiani Roundabout is a public toilet facility or what Masa we need to be serious,” I believed that before someone can placed either banner or sign post here unless the Assembly gives permission what do they used that money for he asked?
Hamza Mohammed, the News Editor, humbly appealed to the Municipal Assembly to dash Bibiani Roundabout to him as a contract and he will make sure that the place is always clean.
We are doomed as a town Bibiani deserves better! Because it is the gateway to the Western North Region.
