The Deputy General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahen has stated categorically that majority of the members of the Western Togoland separatist group belong to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to him, 99% of Western Togoland separatists were NDC.
Obiri Boahen was referring to some thirty-one suspected secessionists who, with the help of other secessionists invaded police posts and kidnapped some officers of the Ghana Police Service.
Speaking to Neat FM, Obiri Boahen debunked assertions that the attacks were instigated by the NPP to cause chaos in the Volta Region ahead of the 2020 Elections.
“NDC should throw the challenge to me. No NPP person will do such things,’’ Obiri Boahen accused the NDC.
