Communication team member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prince Henry has admonished Ghanaians not to believe President Akufo-Addo and the ruling New Patriotic government concerning the Agenda 111 policy.
President Akufo-Addo last Tuesday launched the Agenda 111 initiative at Trede in the Ashanti region to provide 111 hospitals across the country.
The initiative when completed will have 88 district hospitals, 6 regional hospitals as well as two specialized hospitals, among many others.
But Prince Henry speaking to the media, described the Akufo-Addo-led government as the administration that is only interested in making unrealistic promises, hence the need to ignore the initiative.
Despite supporting the idea, the NDC Communicator insisted that the NPP has failed in building even one out of 88 district hospitals promised last year and therefore lacks the moral justification to promise another project.
“The NPP promised to build 350 new SHS blocks within its first 2 years in office but as I speak to you, they have not even built and completed one out the number. So this government cannot be trusted” Prince Henry told the media.
However, he emphasized that the Mahama-NDC government invested a lot in health infrastructure development and therefore can be trusted with such initiative, not the NPP.
