For eight years, some NDC followers on social media did not allow me to rest. Anytime I posted anything critical of the government, they would remind me that I was a major part of the reason Ghana got Akufo-Addo. After the December 7 election, I thought these accusations would finally end.
Yesterday, when I posted about the looting and violence perpetuated by some supporters of the NDC and made another post about “The President Ghana Never Got,” some NPP supporters took over from the NDC. (I share two screenshots in the comment section).
Why do some party foot soldiers only realise that critical voices matter when in opposition? When you’re criticised in government, you tell us we are bitter and irrelevant, but in opposition, you suddenly think we were part of your defeat.
I want to remind you that the likes of Ken Ofori-Atta (who was behind the humongous scandals such as the SML) were your downfall, not the Manassehs of this world, who investigated the scandals. If you are concerned about the timing of my book, you should be more worried about those whose actions formed the book’s damning content.
Let us have constructive talks here without the accusations that some of us had an agenda against your party. If your political gods are not to blame, I’m certainly not guilty of your charges.
