Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker Wilberforce Mfum has backed Manhyia for inflicting a one-year transfer ban on the porcupine warriors.
The Kumasi based club has been barred by Manhyia from signing any player for a year as the newly constituted Board has been instructed to set up an academy and ensure player development.
Kotoko over the years has made numerous player signings which have seen the club lose millions of Ghana cedes.
The directive from Manhyia has seen head coach of the team Maxwell Konadu pleading for his side to be allowed to make two or three signings to beef up the squad when football restarts.
But the former goal poacher of the club in an interview endorsed the ban.
“Personally I support the life Patron’s transfer ban because some of the players they purchase are not Kotoko materials. So if he has inflicted a year transfer ban on the club they should make good use of the ones available” he said.
