A 38-year-old farmer and hunter, Akwesi Broni who was reported missing have been found dead in Sefwi Aboabo near Sefwi Subri-Kwanta in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region of Ghana.
The body of the deceased was found decomposing 10 days after he was found.
The father of the now-deceased man, Opanin Kwame Osei explained to Correspondent Hamza Mohammed that, they live in Sefwi Aboabo but about 10 days ago, the late Akwesi Broni went hunting in the forest however did not return home at his usual time.
He said the family became curious and raised alarm to elders of the community who mobilized young men into the forest to search for him which his decomposing corpse was discovered.
The wife of the deceased, Madam Dories Obeng said she felt uneasiness in her body the fateful day the husband left for hunting.
She said subsequently, the dogs who went hunting with the husband returned home without him so she quickly called family members to help find the husband.
“My husband went for a loan from a cocoa purchasing clerk and the clerk always hunts my husband for his money,” she revealed.
Supt. Augustine Kwaku Mensah, the Bibiani District Police Commander stressed that the cause of death was under investigation.
