A 34-year-old woman identified as Nafisah Mensah has been found dead in a pit latrine toilet facility at a prayer camp in the Teacher block factory in Opeikuma in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
Bryt News Central Regional Correspondent Eric Amponsah reported that the deceased who was mentally unstable went to a prayer camp at Opeikuma with her mother for divine healing. He visited the pit latrine toilet facility on Saturday but accidentally fell into it and died.
Her mother who was aware of the incident refused to inform anyone and abandoned the daughter. Owners of the prayer camp went on a wild goose chase reported the incident to police and later made radio announcements about missing persons.
Through investigation, it was revealed that the woman fell into the toilet facility which her mother led a team to locate the body in the male section of the toilet facility.

Municipal Environmental Officer for Awutu Senya East, Johnson Lodo was at the scene to help with the removal and burial of the body.
The Leader and founder of Christ the Shepherd Prayer camp Most Reverend Comfort Ntiamoah expressed shock at the incident and the conduct of the mother of the deceased.
She said the prayer camp is assisting the police in investigating the incident.
