A 46-year-old man has died in Adukrom – Akuapem in the Okere District of the Eastern region after his wife violently pulled his manhood during a scuffle a fight.
According to the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, Sargeant Francis Gomado, on June 23, at about 2.00 pm, Kojo Tovor accompanied by his brother Moses Tovor came to the station and the former reported that he received a report from his late son called Agbeko Tovor prior to his death, that his wife Akosua Kudornu pulled he -Agbeko Tovor’s manhood thereby causing harm to him.
That the incident occurred when a fight ensued between the Couple after the husband questioned the wife for returning home late in the night.
The complainant said, his son, Agbeko Tovor was later admitted at Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital where he later died whilst receiving treatment.
Police traced suspect Akosua Kudornu at her house at Adukrom Quarters and arrested her to assist in Police investigations.
Sargeant Gomado said Police have visited the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital morgue where the complainant identified the body to Police. The body was inspected but no marks of injuries seen.
However, efforts are being made to convey the body of Agbeko Tovor to Police Hospital, Accra for autopsy while Suspect Akosua Kudornu in custody.
