Josephine Panyin Mensah, the Takoradi Woman who faked his Pregnancy and Kidnapping at Takoradi in Western Region will be put before Takoradi Circuit Court today Monday, September 27, 2021.
Josephine Panyin Mensah, 28, confessed on Friday to the Police during further investigations that, neither was she pregnant nor ever been kidnapped.
She said she faked her nine-month pregnancy and Kidnapping with her mother to court sympathy for her inability to give birth in her second marriage.
The entire episode about the disappearance of this alleged pregnant woman and Kidnapping tales threw the entire country into a state of confusion.
According to the family of Josephine, she left home on Thursday, September 16, for a dawn walk in Takoradi but did not return.
Her photos were since circulated on social media with an appeal to the public to help find her.
She was found a week later without her pregnancy claiming the kidnappers took her baby away.
Police and medical investigation suggested she was not pregnant neither delivered however the family and residents insisted she was pregnant.
