Women constitute a major trade power block with unlimited potential to drive economic growth.
In Africa, more than half of small businesses are led by women and therefore supporting women entrepreneurs will build capacity to foster the AfCFTA agenda.
Dr. Afua Asabea Asare, CEO of Ghana Export Promotion Authority took her turn as a panelist at the 74th Annual New Year School and Conference at the University of Ghana.
She spoke on the theme “Women in Trade: Positioning the African Market for sustainable economic development through AfCFTA”.
She spoke extensively on the kind of support Ghana Export Export Promotion Authority is providing women entrepreneurs and those with the desire to export in order to bring economic sustainability.
Other astute persons who were also on the panel includes; Mrs. Kosi Yankey-Ayeh (CEO of Ghana Enterprises Agency), Lawyer Sarah Anku (Intellectual property Attorney) and Dr. Francis Mangeni (Senior Advisor, AfCFTA).
