The sector Minister for Works and Housing, Hon Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah led stakeholders in the built industry to commence an exercise purposed to validate the latest data on Ghana’s housing profile.
This is part of efforts to among other things, guide and shape housing delivery policies.
Key amongst them is the provision of incentive package aimed at attracting private developers to participate in the reduction of the national housing deficit, which currently stands at 1.8 million units.
It is also aimed to help deal with the housing challenges in the country.
Stakeholders were optimistic the move by the minister will go a long way to help plan well in the future and therefore pledged their readiness to make it a success.
