The Service and its partners joined the Sogakope community to commemorate this year’s World NTD Day.
Delivering a speech on behalf of the Director-General, Dr. Chrysantus Kubio, the Regional Director of Health Service for Volta, highlighted the importance of stronger intersectoral cooperation to optimize resources, enhance efficiency, and encourage cross-organization collaboration.
In support of the Service’s efforts, development partners, including World Health Organization Ghana , World Vision Ghana , Sightsavers , Volta River Authority , and University of Health and Allied Sciences , reaffirmed their commitment to achieving the WHO 2030 goal of controlling, eliminating, and eradicating NTDs.
Also acknowledged the devastating impact of these diseases while condemning the stigma associated with them.
