Communications Officer of Aduana Stars, Evans Oppong ‘Maestro’ has disclosed that their star man, Yahaya Mohammed’s move to Ashantigold is in a balance as they wait for a final decision from the club owner, Nana Agyemang Badu II.
The Miners are said to have made an offer for the striker, whom they believe can strengthen their squad for next season CAF Champions League.
Aduana management has received the offer, however, cannot make a decision as the player wants his ‘godfather’ Nana Agyemang Badu to decide despite revealing his move to the Obuasi based club is 99% done.
Speaking to Kwaku Sarpong Sarkodie of Bryt FM in Koforidua, he said, “Ashantigold officially wrote to us demanding for the services of Yahaya Mohammed so management informed him about it. We asked him if he would like to join Ashantigold but he told us Dormaa is his second hometown whereas Nana Agyemang Badu is his father and that he cannot leave without the approval of management and the team owner”
He continued that, “Truth to be told, management of both clubs has almost reached agreement on a seasonal loan without any condition. Aduana Stars has one owner, that is Nana Agyemang Badu so any decision that we take he has the final blessing and so as management we have done our part and waiting for him to approve or disapprove it”
“As I speak, Nana Agyemang Badu has the final say and so we are waiting for him. If he gives the green light he will leave but if he decides to keep him so be it. For now, Yahaya move to Ashantigold is 50-50” he said.
