The Deputy minister for Lands and Natural resources in charge of Mining, George Mireku Duker has eulogized the Honorable Member of Parliament for Bosome Freho Constituency, Mr. Akwasi Darko Boateng for his contribution towards the development and the welfare of his people in the district.
According to deputy minister, the Constituents of Bosome Freho have made a good choice for presenting a Man of Wisdom to represent them in Parliament.
Tarkwa Nsuaem Lawmaker disclosed this in his Speech during the Official launch of Bosome Freho Community mining Scheme at Dannso.
In his assertions, Mr. Mireku Duker added that, the project was initially just a dream until Hon. Akwasi Darko Boateng pressured the ministry on a good course to make it a reality and it takes a hardworking and visionary Member of Parliament to take such a bold step.
He therefore described Hon. Akwasi Darko Boateng as one of the MPs, whose ‘fight’ for his people is characterized by dedication and Sacrifices
Touching on how the people’s lives can be bettered through the Scheme, he called on the traditional Council, The Entire electorates in the District and all the stakeholders to rally strongly behind the Project in order to attain it’s pursuing purpose.
On his part, The Dabehene of Kokofu traditional Council who represented the Paramount Chief of Kokofu traditional Council, Barimah Offe Kwasi Okogyeasuo and the Chairman for the Event, Nana Kumi Acheampong said, The custodian of the land, Barimah Offe Kwasi Okogyeasuo is fully in support of the Community mining in Bosome Freho so, nobody can stop it from working.
He also rallied full support for the Project because, it has come to stay to create employment for the youth of Bosome Freho and to lessen the burden of the Constituents.
After that, the Honorable member of Parliament for Bosome Freho, Hon. Akwasi Darko Boateng when ascended the podium emphatically declared his strong Opposition to Galamsey in the district.
He cried that, some people have misconstrued his efforts for their personal gains and propaganda just to sway attention but he called on the people to stay focus.
He maintained that, his interest as the member of Parliament is to champion the needs of the people of Bosome Freho Because, on their powers he stands as the member of Parliament.
He was optimistic about the fruitfulness of the project in order to achieve the targeted development for his People.
Finally, the District chief executive (DCE) for Bosome Freho Hon. Kofi Adu Amoateng assured his full support for the Community mining in the Bosome Freho district.
He thanked president Akuffo Addo for adding the developmental faculty of the district into his accounts as he says he will make sure they put the people of Bosome Freho First in everything they do to match the President’s plans for the people.
