Flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Agyapong has responded to Atta Akyea’s assertions that he is not qualified to head the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because of his temperament.
According to him, Atta Akyea was a member of the group that declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo unfit to serve as president.
Therefore, he will not respond to him. The former lawmaker believes that Atta Akyea’s remarks were intended to enrage him and provoke an attack, but he will never use that approach in the future.
“Atta Akyea is one person who did not believe Akufo-Addo was presidential material. The kind of words he used to describe Nana Addo were so bad that if I had told Nana Addo, he wouldn’t have made him a minister when he won power,” he said on Takoradi-based Sky.
He also underlined that Atta Akyea’s team lacks a message, thus he thinks that spitting on him will enrage him and cause him to react adversely. But now that he has changed, he is pitching the delegates his agenda of creating jobs.
