Ghana Premier League newcomers Young Apostles have announced former Hearts of Oak assistant coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru Tijani as new head coach.
Tijani replaces Joseph Asare Bediako, who was shown the exit door following a string of poor results in the domestic top-flight.
The announcement was made by the club president, Sammy Anim Addo, through a tweet on X.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let’s welcome the new boss of Young Apostles, wish him all the best on behalf of the Agya Na ƆwƆ Tumi” he wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Tijani is expected to turn things around for Young Apostles as they seek to maintain their Ghana Premier League spot.
Currently sitting in the relegation zone with 11 points from 12 matches, Young Apostles have recorded only two wins, five draws, and five losses in the 2024/25 season.
Tijani’s first assignment will be a tough home fixture against 2023 champions, Medeama SC.
