The Chief Executive Officer for the Youth Employment Agency, Kofi Agyepong has announced that on Friday, October 14, 2022, over 6,000 newly recruited YEA Community Health Workers passed out at the various regional training centres across the country.
The beneficiaries, who will receive a monthly allowance of GHC500, a 100% increment from the old GHC 250 monthly allowance, expressed so much joy and gratitude to President Nana Akufo-Addo for the opportunity given to them.
It is also worth noting that as part of the exit strategy, arrangements have been made with the Ministry of Health to place premiums on applications from beneficiaries during admission processes into the various Nursing Training Schools, as a result of the field experience they have gathered.
Meanwhile at the passing out ceremony in Koforidua, the CEO reiterated the government’s commitment to fighting unemployment and President Akufo-Addo’s resolve to provide the needed support.
