AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced his retirement from football at the age of 41 after a season plagued with injuries.
“It was a long career — really long; thank you to everyone who gave me the strength, the adrenaline, and the emotion to continue” he said.
Ibrahimovic has played with big clubs, including Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Paris St Germain, and Manchester United.
The soccer star deflected questions regarding his retirement plans, opting not to divulge any details.
