In a bid to end the double-track system at the country’s Senior High Schools, the government decided to construct more classroom blocks and dormitories for schools with high enrolments.
Kwahu Ridge Senior high Technical School was one of the schools that benefitted from this initiative as a 12-unit classroom block was constructed for it.
However, the District Chief Executive for Kwahu South Hon Emmanuel Attah Ofori Snr on Wednesday, 24 June 2020 handed over the 12-unit storey classroom block to the school authorities; in addition, the school was given tables and chairs.
“We are handing over the building to the school today but we still have up to six months to come back and check to see if there are defects on it. For now, the little defects that have been identified would be fixed,” the contractor stated.
The DCE in his remarks stated, “I want to urge the headmistress, staff, and students of KRISTECH to make very good use of the facility so that teaching and learning could be enhanced.”
The Headmistress was grateful to the Government and assured the gathering that she will do all she can to maintain the classroom block.
The short ceremony was witnessed by the District Director of Education, Nananom, Teachers, and Staff of KRISTECH.
The DCE on behalf of the Assembly donated veronica buckets, dustbins, and sanitizers to the school.
