The Akuapem South municipal Assembly has directed management of Aburi Girls Senior High School to immediately address sanitation challenges affecting nearby community.
𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗢𝘀𝗮𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗶, together with a team from the Assembly, conducted an inspection at Aburi Girls’ Senior High School and the Aburi Craft Village following rising complains unsanitary condition flowing from untreated liquid waste discharging to the environment from the school.
The team observed that liquid waste drains from the school’s washrooms were leaking towards the Craft Village, creating an unpleasant odour and discomfort for artisans and visitors.
During the inspection, faults were also detected in the functioning of some washroom facilities, including leaking urinals contributing to the sanitation challenge.

The MCE, has directed immediate action to address the drainage spillage from Aburi Girls’ SHS washrooms and repair faulty facilities.
These measures aim to restore proper sanitation and ensure a healthy environment for students, artisans, and visitors at Aburi Craft Village.
The Aburi Craft Village is a major tourist Center in the municipality.
