Mayor of the New Juaben South Metropolitan Assembly Ransford Boakye has opened up his relationship with Member of Parliament for the constituency, Michael Okyere Baafi.
Reports went rife that Okyere Baafi, is in logger heads with Mr. Boakye who recently assumed office over the latter taking credit for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for fixing deplorable Abogri road.
But in an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, Mr Boakye poured cold water on the matter, saying he has no issue with Okyere Baafi.
“Baafi is my brother, I have no issues with him. He got the interpretation wrong about my initial comments on the roads. I want to use this opportunity and plead with him to seek clarification from me when he hears such statements next time”
“I insists that the NDC signed the contract for the construction of the Abogiri road. It is documented so he can come for clarification” he said.
“I am the Mayor and he is the MP and it will be prudent for us to work to make Koforidua better. If we able to develop Koforidua, he can equally get credit to his name” he concluded.
