Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin says he will miss former Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga.
He claimed that the former Majority Leader was an honest politician who never harbored resentment toward political matters.
He clarified that if Ayariga was unhappy with anything he did during their collaboration, he would address him.
According to Afenyo Markin, he was struck by his lack of resentment, which would have caused him to get upset.
“He is a very senior member of the party. He’s been in Parliament for a long time. You know in politics, people may have their preferences. I will miss him; he has his strengths, and there are things I like about him. He is an affable man. At least for the brief period we’ve worked together.
Ayariga will not hide his feelings. I could easily predict him on what he likes and what he doesn’t like. He doesn’t hold grudges, that is one strength he holds because, you see, when you are working with someone and he harbours animosity, he keeps things personal, he becomes emotional, and it’s difficult.
What I found in him was a gentleman who expresses his views. If he’s not happy with you, he will call and say leader this one I’m not happy with you. There were times that he would surprise me; there were times that I surprised him,” he said.
