Lawyer Maurice Ampaw, has accused Ibrahim Mahama of seeking to retain contacts with both the NDC and the NPP in order to insulate himself from potential political changes.
Ampaw made the accusation while denouncing NPP officials for having cordial conversations with Ibrahim Mahama during Peter Mac Manu’s wife’s burial.
“Ibrahim Mahama is trying to play smart with both parties, NDC and NPP, so that when the government changes, nobody can touch him,” he said on Movement TV.
Ampaw added that he opposes the judge who oversaw the case as well as anyone he feels was involved in Wontumi’s incarceration.
“For me, anybody who played a role in jailing Chairman Wontumi, including the judge who presided over the case, even though she was my classmate, is not my friend,” he said.
“If I see her, I will pass her by. But for jailing Wontumi at that speed, she has become my enemy for life,” he added.
