President John Dramani Mahama has visited flood-affected communities in Hohoe to assess the impact of the recent flooding and present relief items to displaced residents.
He also announced a pledge of 5,000 bags of cement from the owner of Dzata Cement to support households whose homes were destroyed by the floods.
President Mahama directed the Regional Minister, Municipal Chief Executive and Member of Parliament to ensure the relief items are distributed fairly to residents directly affected by the disaster.
He reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to supporting affected communities as they recover and rebuilding efforts begin.
