Covid-19 cases in the Eastern region near 300 but 284 have been accounted for by the Ghana Health Service -Headquarters.
It is not yet clear if the death toll in the region has also increased from three (3).
Meanwhile, COVID-19 deaths in Ghana have risen to 66 from 58 since the last count on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.
This means, 8 more patients have died in less than 24hours.
This comes after the Center for Democratic Development (CDD) has criticized GHS for concealing some of the deaths recorded given that the Ashanti region alone has recorded 38 deaths.
The GHS on Wednesday also announced that confirmed cases of the virus have also moved to 12,590 from 12,193 while recoveries now stand at 4,410.
