The biggest gathering of Waakye lovers in Ghana is happening today in Accra at Mmofra Place, next to Marvels Mini Golf, Dzorwulu, Accra.
MFS and MTN Pulse in collaboration with La Lune Digital presents The Waakye Summit – The Year of Return Edition during this Christmas as a special time of the year when people must make merry and eat Ghana’s special meals with family and friends.
Guests and tourists are invited to celebrate this year’s Boxing day with delicious varieties of Waakye from the top Waakye vendors within Accra and Tema. Some of the vendors on the bill include Forzia Waakye -Tema Comm 11, Sisters Waakye – Adabraka, Rockstone’s Office Waakye Cantoments, Fulera Waakye Madina and many more.
There will be other side attractions including live band music, Waakye Buddy contest music performance by YaaYaa, Waakye Buddy contest, video games and a play area for kids.
The date is Thursday, 26th of December 2019 at Mmofra Place, next to Marvels Mini Golf, Dzorwulu, Accra, from 9:00am – 6:00pm.
The Waakye Summit is a foodie’s dream; celebrating arguably the best and most popular indigenous Ghanaian dish, Waakye. This food festival lines up some of the most renowned street food vendors in the capital; a must-attend for a true taste of Ghana.
It’s happening on December 26th, 2019 at Mmofra Place (next to Marvels Mini Golf in Dzorwulu) from 9am.

There will be exciting contests in addition to other side attractions such as musical performances from YaaYaa and AfroHarmony.
