Dreams FC marauding defender, Issah Yakubu has predicted doom for Ghana football in the case involving the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer.
The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in last week rescheduled the ruling between Palmer and GFA to September 1, 2020, which became the second time the verdict on the matter has been postponed after an initial postponement on July 17, 2020.
Osei Kwaku Palmer is seeking redress from CAS after he was disqualified from competing in last year’s GFA elections.
However, the Dreams FC defender sharing his thought about the pending issue affirmed that Ghana football will drop entirely should CAS order for re-election.
Speaking to S.K Ntim of Bryt FM, he said, “Ghana football will collapse if CAS order for re-election because for two consecutive years we’ve not completed our season. Now there is a president for the Ghana FA who is putting things in place and so, if we are to organize another election it will jeopardize our game”
He continued that, “Assuming CAS calls for re-election our game will destroy and it will go a long way to harm us. We have been in the house since the outbreak of the coronavirus which is worrying and so if there should be another election, Ghana football will lose” he said.
