A total of One Hundred and thirty-six (136) persons who were tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered, bringing Ghana’s Active cases down from 2,270 to 2,134 as of 8th August 2020.
The number of recoveries recorded in Ghana stands at 39,055 with 215 deaths.
Total confirmed cases as of 8th August are 41,404 and 20 patients in severe, 6 in critical condition, and 4 in ventilators, according to Ghana Health Service report.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Ghanaian undercover journalist has exposed two employees of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital – Thomas Osei, a Medicine Counter Assistant and Divine Kumordzi of the Sewing Unit of the Hospital – are seen in the video selling Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that were meant to be given to health workers for use.
These two employees of Ridge Hospital were actively selling the PPEs while doctors and nurses of the hospital were complaining about the lack of protective materials.
