Highlife Musician, Producer, and songwriter Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has said that Kofi Kinata is the only musician protecting the indigenous highlife music currently in the country.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime, saying he had observed that renowned musicians like Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy do not have any Ghanaian identity in their genre of music
“If you take Kinata when he sings you could see that there is kind of locality in there and when he is rapping to you can see the locality”, Mr Blay said.
Adding that Kofi Kinnata still has a lot to learn and needs to work hard and make his music identity clear though he is doing well.
Kofi Kinnatta is known for releasing hit after hit with quality lyrical content and well-composed music.
