Actor Clement Bonney, known as Mr Beautiful and film Producer Socrate Sarfo have thrown jabs at each in an interview on the UTV’s United Showbiz hosted by Nana Mcbrown
Mr Beautiful who is known to a strong member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has claimed that the ruling party which now wants Ghanaians to be given the Mandate again has done nothing for the sector.
According to him, some film producers had put him aside cause of he doesn’t have same party colours as they do, mentioning Socrate Sarfo as part since he is also a member of the ruling party claiming that this started after the New Patriotic Party came into power in 2017.
Socrate who had been quiet all the while reacted saying that he was not surprised by the actor’s reaction since he was trying to impress the person who pays him.
“He wants attention,” said the film producer. “He is irrelevant in NDC, so he wants to poke so that they recognize him for taking a dig at Socrate.” the film producer said.
According to the producer, no businessman will ever put him aside because of the party in which someone belongs if only he was a good and influential actor since he had no reason to sabotage his career.
The producer later used the NDC Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogan John Dumelo as an example, saying he is still being signed up to acting movie so what the actor is claiming is untrue.
“My acting career hasn’t been affected. How can a person with crooked spectacles (pointing to Socrate Safo) sabotage me?” Mr Beautiful wondered.
