President Nana Akufo-Addo has said Government will construct District Hospitals in seven (7) Districts without them in the Upper East Region As part of Government’s Agenda 111, which seeks to build District Hospitals in Districts without hospitals, in the course of the next twelve (12) months.
The hospitals will have a 100-bed capacity, fully equipped, with appropriate accommodation for medical personnel, i.e. doctors and staff.
Beneficiaries are Binduri, Builsa South, Kassena Nankana West, Nabdam, Pusiga, Bolgatanga East, and Tempane districts.
President Akufo-Addo said this when he addressing the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs on Thursday, 8th October 2020, as part of his 2-day working visit to the Upper East Region.
The President of the Upper East Regional House of Chiefs, Naba Olando Ayamga Awuni III, who is also Paramount Chief of Naaga Traditional Area, says the decision taken by the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to seek a second term in office is wholly appropriate and will be granted by the electorate.
According to Naba Olando Ayamga Awuni III, “seeking for a 2nd term is appropriate and it shall be granted by your performance, and that will ensure victory for you.
“We are, therefore, grateful to know that those demands have been met. Your Excellency, the Ghanaian constitution debars us from taking part in active party politics” he said.
