The Overlord of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area His Majesty Osagyefuo Amotia Ofori Panin has donated two pickup vehicles and quantities of medical equipment to Kibi Government Hospital.
In a brief presentation Monday, October 26, 2020, Okyenhene said the donation is part of his effort to improve quality healthcare delivery.
He urged staff of the facility to abide by the ethics of their profession to work diligently to save lives.
Kibi Government Hospital continues to play a significant role in serving thousands of clients in the Akyem Abuakwa area.
In October 2019, the Minister for Health, Mr. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu cut the sod for the rehabilitation of the Kibi Government Hospital.
He said the hospital had not seen any major rehabilitation and expansion since its establishment in 1926.
The project expected to be completed in two years will see to the refurbishment of the Out Patient Department (OPD), X-ray laboratory, pharmacy unit, theatre suits, maternity ward, and the male and female medical and surgical wards.
New departments to be constructed include antenatal, psychiatry, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), laundry, and laboratory facilities.
