Former Ghana international Ntow Gyan has backed Mohammed Polo for the head coach position job of the Ghana National Football team, the Black Stars.
The Black Stars coaching job became vacant after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) dissolved all national teams technical bench on last week.
With Polo reiterating his desire to land the Black Stars job, the former Asante Kotoko player, Ntow Gyan has thrown weight behind him for the topnotch Black Stars job.
“Polo is the best man for the vacant Black Stars job but we as Ghanaians are not ready to help our own. Football is about practicals, Somebody like Polo has all the qualities in football but the country has declined to sponsor him for refresher courses abroad ” he said.
“If Polo has expressed a desire to coach the Black Stars, we all support him because he is one person I admire a lot. Football in the country is about Polo” he emphasized.
Ntow Gyan then kicked against the appointment of expatriate coaches for the Black Stars job.
